Ubuntu Ubiquiti Sources List Question

I put this question on the Ubnt forums as well but I thought I would ask you folks as well.

I have some experience with source lists.
I’m trying to figure out how to have Ubuntu pull updates for the Unifi controller from the stable release candidate. (https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Wireless-Beta/Notes-on-UniFi-releases-Beta-Edition/m-p/2117198#M57418)

I know you can’t have a space between “stable” and “Candidate”.

I have tried these combinations, in the main “sources.list” and the “sources.list.d/100-ubnt-unifi.list” as listed in the guide. (https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/220066768-UniFi-How-to-Install-Update-via-APT-on-Debian-or-Ubuntu)

deb http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/unifi/debian stable-candidate ubiquiti
deb http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/unifi/debian candidate ubiquiti
deb http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/unifi/debian stable candidate ubiquiti
None of these have worked and I’m not sure where to go next.

Do you guys have any ideas of how this is supposed to work.

I appreciate any help.

This is what I have:

┌─[root@sound-closet] - [/etc/apt/sources.list.d] - [2017-11-27 01:26:10]
└─[0] <> cat unifi.list
# # Unifi
deb http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/unifi/debian stable ubiquiti

Oh shit i completely forgot about this post my bad. Ya thats what I was using as well but I was hoping to use the stable candidate version (essentially one step before release/stable).

One of the ubnt employees told me that they do don’t have a repository for the stable candidate and, the only way to use it is to manually install it every update.

So I’m just going to have to be patient and wait a week or so for the stable builds to come.
