Ubuntu Cinnamon?

So I've tried most the different types of desktop environment (yes, even the terrible unity) and I am in love with cinnamon. I love Mint because of cinnamon but I love the marketplace, support, forums on Ubuntu better. So is there a cinnamon desktop environment for Ubuntu?

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly

then

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install cinnamon

Log out and choose Cinnamon.

Well, anything in terms of support of Ubuntu applies to Linux Mint, there aren't almost any technical differences there.
You can install Cinnamon the way mentioned above, but it's a little buggy and it doesn't have the Mint themes. That's what I have on my PC as well. I did it from the gnome edition because from the "normal" Ubuntu I had some issues with the GTK, I couldn't fix it.
You can always try Kubuntu with KDE, it is fairly similar to Cinnamon, but it is very heavy.

Just saying man, Mint is pretty much Ubuntu Cinnamon. Mint is based off of Ubuntu therefore they're mostly the same under the hood.

Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu so the majority, about 90%, of the help you will find with Ubuntu will relate to Linux Mint.

Cinnamon is a desktop environment developed by the Linux Mint team. They build it for Mint and do not care if it works on other distros. Clem, founder of Mint, stated that while he doesn't do anything to stop Cinnamon from working on other distros he also will not do anything to make sure it does. This means that using Cinnamon on anything other than Mint is going to be hit or miss.

There is a PPA for Cinnamon on Ubuntu but it isn't perfect and I really wouldn't bother with it right now. Using Mint would just accomplish the same thing for the most part.

With all that said, I wish there was a Cinnamon flavor for Ubuntu just so it could be called Cinnabuntu. (Cinnabun-tu)

LONG LIVE CINNABUN-TU! XD
