Ubuntu 16.04.1 & AMDGPU-PRO

EDIT: Ignore this post, I found the mega thread: https://forum.teksyndicate.com/t/the-amdgpu-info-news-thread/103728/79

I have been using Ubuntu quite flawlessly with some of my older laptops, but I'm moving to completely replace my desktop experience with it as well. Many of you may know that AMD/ATI doesn't officially support Ubuntu 16.04 yet. O i'm testing out their beta drivers and I'm aware these are beta drivers and by this logic there may be some issues, but I'm having an issue that is driving me insane.
I've installed AMDGPU-PRO via http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Radeon-GPU-PRO-Linux-Beta-Driver%E2%80%93Release-Notes.aspx
However, I'm getting this strange freeze every 5-10 seconds and it lasts about 1 second. My mouse, keyboard, everything hiccups for about a second and then resumes normally. It is maddening.
Specs: Intel Skylake 4GB i7 AMD R9 390x 16GB RAM
Nothing is maxing out on any of these specs. As soon as I uninstall these drivers, the issue goes away.
I'm unable to launch Steam without these drivers so I'm gameless unless I want to enjoy that sweet stutter every few seconds.
Any thoughts or assistance is greatly appreciated. Even though I've tried linux on/off several times in the last 20 years, I've come to really like Ubuntu and what it offers and really want to make it work for my desktop. Should I be directing this at AMD/ATI or to the community first? I'm no ubuntu pro so talk to me like I'm 5 :)
