AMD is apperantly working on two new Vishera Eight-Core Processors. The 8320 will be running at 3.5 Ghz, Turbo speeds of up to 4.0Ghz; thee 8320 will also host 16MB of cache. The TDP is also sitting at 125 Watts on the 32nm SOI. The rest is the same, DDR3 1866 Memory, and will be on the AM3+ Socket. The FX 8300 However, this cpu will be running at 3.3 Ghz, and I'm guessing around 3.8 for Turbo (seeing I think Fudzilla made a typo there). The TDP for the 8300 will be 95 on the TDP. AMD is planning on releasing these two CPU's late October into early Quater 4. The pricing I am sure is I'm gonna guess around $180. That is just a wild guess. If the price is right, AMD could be making some good money.
I would love to get ahold of both of these CPU's to give them a through test!
Excellent, AMD may finally come through with a worthy oponent to Sandy-Bridge, I love AMD because their products are prices very well and the products perform very relative to the prices. Bulldozer has been a major dissapointment, I hope for AMD's sake, and the sake of all PC enthusiasts, AMD will deliver what the FX brand should have delivered, otherwise Intels lead will create such a huge gap that AMD will just have to exit the enthusiast segment all togather in regards to processors. Piledriver may be the last stand for AMD.
I am currently running a Phenom II x6 @ 3.65GHZ and it outperforms i5 2600k in every benchmark by a significant margin so if you Intel fan boys gota a gripe with AMD, keep the marketing strategies for Intel, a wise consumer consumes not based merely on brand name!
