The pics were just not accurate. The original actresses are at least as attractive, they just don't look so dumb, starved and siliconed up, and they have much better acting skills.
What do you think is easier to play, a screaming bitch that's getting splattered (and they'll dub the scream anyway to get that real hollywood scream), or a convincing love scene, whereby the audience can exactly tell who really loves who and who's just in it for the sex, while butt naked on a movie set, tired as hell because it's 11 PM, in take 24, and having filmed a scene at a freezing parking lot for another part of the movie the entire day?
It's not about looks, it's about acting so that the audience is sucked into the story, feels what the cinematographer intended them to feel, it's about the cinema experience, not about the graphic quality.
It's the same as with video games, ever more games suck balls, but wow that graphical quality right...

The problem doesn't lie with the women, it lies with the guys. If they would come to Continental Europe in summer, near a nudist or FKK area, and would see a lot of naked women together at a venue, I bet they think it's like a decadent sex area, whereas we would just look what has brought those women together. They might be having a knitting club for christ's sake, the fact that they are naked doesn't mean anything except that they like to be naked. At the same time, Europeans don't run around in pyjamas all day, they actually dress appropriately in daily life in public, whereas in the US, I wish everyone in pyjamas and flip flops would just run around naked, because the way they're dressed is much more offensive than if they would just run around naked...
