well hello everyone i am just wondering ...well looking to upgrade my modem and return my leased modem from TWC and want the best available and i dont want to buy one that they recommend because ill probably be limited or something ive heard some users say Motorola but they are so many out there and i would like the Wifi Feature on the modem because i am bieng charged $10 and $5++ to have wifi enabled so owning my own will remove those charges so much help would be appreciated thanx in advance
I'm actually in the process of buying my own modem. I've been looking on ebay for TWC modems and going to try one that isn't approved by them. I hear stories that you don't need to follow TWC suggested modems. I'm getting mine from: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/time-warner-cable-modem
I'm looking at the Motorola SB6121. I'll post an update whether it works or not.
The Motorola sb6121 is a very good modem. I had it when I was with time warner and it never cut out on me. Stay away from ubee
The modem Motorola SB6121 should be fine, but you will need a separate Wireless router for it to have wifi. Then call TWC and cancel the wifi and modem rental charges. I do not recommend getting all in ones when i worked for Charter i consistently was replacing all in one modem router combos.

Nuff said..
Though seriously buy your own ac wireless router (rtac87u by Asus is a great choice) ..
Also just to tell you then will still charge you if WiFi is built into your own modem.. That should be illegal but its not.. And since they have to put there own access stuff in to allow it on there network your still at there mercy
