So I have a small issue that when you hook up a computer to a tv and use it as a monitor it will usually 'clip off' as in some of the things will go offscreen if you get what I am saying after a certain period of time. I have 2 systems one is my parents and its some hp rebuild with a gtx 630 or something and my is my old computer with a radeon 7750
ps. I have 2 Samsungs dont know what models. The smart one is being used as a htpc for my parents and I have a regular one in my room.
i have this problem with my Samsungs too. It is an overscan issue on the TV. You can change one setting there and it should fix it.
On mine I hit Menu => Picture => Scroll down to Picture Options => Size and change it from 16:9 to screen fit and it is all good. No clipping issues.
The only problem is that it would usually go back to being clipped off after a certain amount of time.
hmm might try that soon busy now watching Avatar the legend of Korra.
There should be some overscan/fullscreen/original setting in the picture size settings. I know there is for LG, i can't imagine Samsung would be much different.
