Hey guys.

I have a Samsung 32" LE23R88BD HDTV 1080i as my monitor with a resolution of 1360 x 768 but in the upcoming weeks i am getting a new system with a XFX 9800GTX+ i am going to use HDMI but will i get 1920x1080i the same way as i get with my Playstation 3 because it's really getting to me when i go to look up the specs on this tv it says the resolution is 1366 x 768 but yet i get 1920x1080i when on my PS3 can someone please help :D

With that card im pretty sure you can get 1080p


I wouldnt worry about it, it should work fine

you wont get a higher resolution than 1360 x 768 on either your computer or ps3 with that tv.

1360 x 768 is the max resolution of the tv your hardware might be able to display 1080p but your tv cant.

1360 x 768 is max resolution VGA can do on ur TV (every TV i think) i have a 1080p Visio, its like 40 inch, when i hook up my laptop, max res is 1360 x 768 via VGA, when i hook up my desktop, i use DVI >> HDMI conveter, i get 1080p via DVI cable from a geforce 8500 gt

They don't have the colored ones on the website. You have to order them by phone or go to a verified retailer. When I get one, I'll gloat and laugh my ass off at your envy.


Anyways, I have my 9800 GTX hooked up to my 32" Sharp Aquos, and the native on it is 1360x768 but I have the option of bumping it up to 1920x1080. Which would be 1080i.

spitesuicide its a 1080i tv i do get 1920x1080i with my playstation 3 @ 75hz'

But i am just thinking will the card up-scale i think it will but just making sure.

no? cards dont up-scale, TVs do, just check ur properties and see the resolution when pluged in
