Hello,
(newbie here so apologies if there is another thread related to this).
I recently built a new home server that is built with TrueNAS Scale as the OS. I’m replacing an older QNAP TVS-1282 that I’ve had for several years. My new server is MUCH scalable to than older one and I built it long term with future scaling in mind.
That being said, I’m trying to determine the best way to utilize my older QNAP hardware.
Is it possible to turn my old QNAP NAS into a JBOD so I can further expand the storage capacity of my new server without having to transplant everything to a new case? I was thinking I could using some Mini-SAS (or something along those lines) with corresponding expansion cards to achieve this with using the existing QNAP hardware?
Anyone know if this is possible or not?
