I'm trying to put a $500~ rig part list together for my cousin, but wanted his input on the case. (Seeing as it is his first build and I want him to absolutely love it)
After talking to him about his preferences in a case, he basically wants one that has good airflow and a body that pops. Something that stands out. I asked him about a few cases that are awesome such as the Fractal Design R4 but he said it was to minimalistic and he didn't like it.
So after searching around and looking at various pictures and specs, we narowed it down to the NZXT LEXA S (Black) and the Raidmax Seiran (White).
I'm asking two things.
1.) I wan't some community input on these two cases. (Worth it for the money?)
2.) Do you guys know of any better (sadly) non-minimalistic cases with good airflow around $100?
If you are looking at Lexa, go with a guardian 21? They are really cooling. THe Lexa, guardian, and apollo have a lot of plastic on them. If you have issues with plastic looking cases, these are terrible choices. I trust NZXT more than Raidmax, but between the Lexa and the Seiran, the Seiran looks less plasticy and I love how the bay covers are made. I look into the Guardian, and if that is shot down go with the Seiran
I got my Corsair White C70 for 87 Dollars from Newegg, wait for a sale, definitely the best case for the money (plus he'll love being able to see his computer from the side panel window!)
