Trying to get group for Torchlight 2

Playing Torchlight 2 with my cousin,

would like to get more people (6 is max?) to come play through it

also, if I add the mod for max of 8 players, or any mod for that sort, does that change who can come into your game

for example if I have mods and you do not, can you see my game or does it not show?

Maybe, everytime I go to play it with people they seem to quit about 1/4th of the way in.

I would, but I'm sort of caught up in another game... Maybe after TERA's new Gunner class loses it's flair, i'll come play with you guys in Torchlight 2.
