TrueNAS scale with Ryzen 5700G doesn't present CPU temperature

Hi,

I just assembled a TrueNAS box using Ryzen 5700G.

Everything seems to work fine except TrueNAS dashboard temperature. it just shows"

“Hottest: Data not provided”.

I’m using Asus ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Cheers

Read through the Phoronix articles explaining about the linux support of sensors provided by ASUS motherboards.

What kernel is TrueNAS running? If it’s older than 5.18 then that’s it.

Thanks for the pointer Jode.

I have installed TrueNAS Scale 22.02.3 (AlgelFish) which runs kernel 5.10.

The next TrueNAS release (Bluefin), scheduled to be released in late 2022, will update the kernel. Current, nightly builds are using 5.15.

If the kernel is not bumped up before release, we’ll need to wait until 2023.
