Anyone not able to set a password for photoprism in truenas pod? There is no option available to enter it. This is truenas scale.
Never mind default for official is admin321. This is admin123.

Does it have multiuser support now? I was supposed to deploy one of these last year but it doesnt seem that mature. How is it now?
Multi sign on is a thing. But you still can see all of everyone’s photos. No privacy as far as i can tell. But that is behind a paywall.
Its for local family photos anyway, should be fine for most things.
But first things first, I need to revive my pedestrian server.
What is the point of open source stuff being paid for now? Like the free tier which only has one user, is open source, but the paid tier with multi user support is pay walled? I understand paid support could be a thing. But foss is not about locking stuff behind a paywall.
Do you run nextcloud? What I do is run webdav between nextcloud and photoprism. nextcloud has a good photo uploading app and photoprism is limited to third party mobile apps.
I am trying to avoid nextcloud now because it is needlessly complex and thus bloated.
It tends to build up a lot of cruft over time. I tried to manually cleanup a directory once because I moved out of it to a regular SMB share on my TrueNAS. I found that it had a lot of uncleared partially uploaded files in its cache.
I agree. Its pretty much the only way i could get a .heic files off iOS without using the spouse’s Macbook.
I actually like it. My mom has switched to that for word docs. Also has talk support, basically whats app functionality.
