My main question is with TrueAudio, does it only work through the HDMI/Displayport on the graphics card, or is it more of a system that works independently, and you will be able to run a discrete soundcard, like the ODAC/Modi, and still get the benefits of TrueAudio?
I am also interested in how to go about getting the benefits. Hopefully someone with an appropriate gpu comes along.
Someone from AMD said at one point that it only handles audio processing, and not the actual output, so it does work with a sound card.
i imagine it works with whatever sound card you have. pretty much instead of your cpu doing sound processing your GPU willl
You are 100% absolutely correct. The work is done on the gpu then pushed out through whatever medium you are using.
