I just joined the Teksyndicate forums, 'cause I think you have the most know-how over others. I, myself, got a bit of a dilemma as building computers isn't my expertise.
My goal:
- Transfer most of my hardware from current desktop PC to a new one.
Problems:
- Don't know what to buy as I already know that some of my stuff won't fit.
Current build (Gamer AK47 from www.jimms.fi (they built it in their store):
- Asus M5A87
- PNY GTX 570 1,28gb
- AMD FX-4100
- LC 6600 600W
- 1 TB HDD
- 128 GB SSD
- DVD -drive
- Fractal 3000 -case
- (can't really remember what type of a CPU cooler I have, but a fan-like it is and not the tower one)
To what kind of a PC I would like to have:
- BitFenix Prodigy M - case (I am very fond of this particular case and would like to value my options if it is possible in reasonable cost to fit into this case)
- Same GPU and CPU, but I'm aware of that there aren't quite many AM3+ mATX mobos around.
- I have no idea whether the PSU will fit or should I buy a better one (after reading trash of LC's PSUs on various forums)
- Win 7/8 (I got both)
Budget: max. ~400€ (I live in Finland, though will notice reliable stores outside my country)
Budget doesn't have to include fans and other accessories.
Would like to have PC taking care of most of games, doesn't have to be though a high-end.
I use mainly my PC for gaming (CS:GO, BF3, etc.)
Any comments are welcome like is my task suicidal or just rather difficult/expensive.
