Troubleshooting new build

Hey guys, been lurking for a while but this is my first post. I recently upgraded my system and am having a small issue. I am getting these white lines/blocks across my display intermittently. I've tried everything I can think to fix this but the issue persists. I would really appreciate some input on what could be the source of the issue. Below is all the information I have pertaining to the problem and troubleshooting performed thus far.

Troubleshooting Help:

What is your parts list?

CPU | Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard | MSI Z170A PC MATE ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory | PNY Anarchy 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Storage | Corsair Force Series 3 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Power Supply | Cooler Master Elite V2 550W ATX Power Supply

Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive.

White blocks appear across the screen intermittently. Happens only when gaming that I have noticed. Pictures below.

List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.

  • Reseat ram
  • Change ram slots
  • Memtest - 0 errors
  • Cap FPS at 60
  • Switch from DVI to HDMI
  • Reinstall graphics drivers

Post relevant photos of build/parts here.

Provide any additional details you wish below.

  • Currently using integrated graphics (Intel HD 530).

  • Ram at listed 2400 15-15-15-35-2T with XMP Profile enabled

What did you change? And did you reinstall windows? because you should reinstall with any major hardware change.

Otherwise probably something to do with your RAM, should underclock it to 1600mhz and see what that does

also did you buy it all used or new or something? because you have a high end board with a locked CPU

The ram and cpu were bought new, mobo bought used. Upgraded from a G3258 setup so only ssd and PSU are reused. Will try downclocking ram.

Thanks

You need to reinstall windows then to try and avoid any issues

Just tested different ram speeds real quick. No issues at 2133. Interestingly, also nothing at 2533 using the same timings and voltage as 2400.

Going to do a fresh Windows install then continue testing.

After a fresh windows and drivers install the first boot of a game resulted in even greater frequency of the issue. Since then I have yet to encounter any problems however so I believe it is fixed.

Anyways, going to return this ram just to be on the safe side.
