Troubles with RAM

Heya, so I decided to buy an ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-R4002V. So I checked a guide made by Logan, where he upgrades the RAM and the SSD in:

So I bought a "Corsair Vengeance SO-DIMM 1600MHz 8GB" Modelnumber: CMSX8GX3M1A1600C10

And a "OCZ SSD Vertex 3 Series 2.5" 240GB" 

The SSD works fine but I can't seem to install the RAM properly. It does not show up in BIOS nor nothing. I ain't the greatest at computers so I'm asking for a bit of help :) Is there something wrong with the SO-DIMM or have I managed to NOT put it in right :P? Anyone got a clue of what's going on or what I could do to address the issue.

you really cannot put ram in the wrong way. make sure it is pressed in the entire way and if it still doesnt work you most likely have a bad stick

Just to make sure, when it does work (if it ain't a bad one) it should pop up in the BIOS right? Showing the additional memory.
