So I just got a Galaxy S3 and it's going to be replacing my old iPod Video. The only problem is that the music files from my iPod video all have weird ass file names, and I was wondering if there was a way to transfer them to my new phone without having to rename them one by one or redownload all the files.
I'm also looking for a media player to replace itunes. I know Logan is a big fan of foobar, and I was looking at that but I'm open to other suggestions. Any player that would make the song transfer easier would be greatly appreciated as well.
I think I remember Logan doing a Foobar tutorial video, but I can't seem to find it anywhere...
Yeah, I've transferred all those music files to my computer. They're just named weird ass things, and I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to rename them without having to go through each song individually and rename them.
That's not what I'm asking. The only files I have are the ones that are named weird that came directly from the ipod. I know how to get them on the phone, but I don't want to have to individually rename them all if I don't have to.
Use Winamp or Foobar for Audio and MPC-HC for video. Winamp can sync all of your songs to your Android device if you really don't want to do it manually. As far as obtaining your old music, it should be located in the iTunes folder under your music folder in windows.(If I recall, it's been a while since I made the switch from Apple) If you can only get the songs with their weird filenames, you can just have winamp extract the metadata from each file and rename it to the title before it transfers.
