so i have my main profile for xbox from a while back and i want to transfer the files from my xboxs old hard drive, first xbox 360. i have the adapter i just dont know what to do, can some one please give me a walk through on how to get the files on my computer so i can upload the profile to my microsoft account.
you dont understand, this profile i never uploaded to my microsoft account since i never had the thing connected to the internet.
damn, well can i do it on an xbox one console since my current xbox 360 is dead.
Get the xbox you want as the primary xbox. Now get the old hard drive from the old xbox and hook that up to the drive to the transfer cable.
No on the new xbox go to the Settings Tab>System>Storage> Now you should see the hard drive that is in the new xbox and the old hard drive as well.
Click on the old hard drive and I believe you hit X or Y to bring up the options for the drive.
One option is to transfer. I used to just select the option select all and try to transfer everything.
Certain things like DLC from original xbox games will transfer but not work properly.
