Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Daihatsu, Mazda and Mitsubishi recalling cars due to faulty air bag inflators made by Takata

If you own a Japanese car check if it’s been recalled!

Airbags are vital for increasing the likelihood that the passengers will survive in a crash.

Mazda is recalling 120,000 vehicles including the Atenza sedan, the Bongo van and two models that it builds for Nissan and Mitsubishi in Japan.

Mitsubishi is recalling 512,000 cars.

About 412,000 of those vehicles are outside Japan, the carmaker said.

Just last week, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Daihatsu all recalled millions of cars, because of Takata’s potentially deadly airbags.

Since Nissan is a part of Renault CO.
I wont be surprised that there are more cars going to be recalled.

Its interesting to see how times have changed.. Back when they used to build things to last car companies had less issues to deal with... Cutting cost everywhere... Now let's see if those cut costs give those companies enough money to deal with all the defects and recalls haha...

This is interesting though... I do not know if I would fault the car companies ... Maybe it was just a badly engineered inflator... A machine is only as strong as its weakest link
