Totalbiscuit's New Steam Curator - The Framerate Police

Saw this over on r/games. I know that TB has been very vocal of his anti-framerate-locking stance in PC games (especially ports from consoles). What are your thoughts on the new curator?

I'm excited to see where this goes. I was really surprised to see just how many games were already on his list, no to mention the ones that are being added by the rest of the community.

Just watched the video, I like how he got around the tag system by using the Curator image as 30FPS,
This is a step in the write direction although its kind of shitty that we even need this in the first place.

YAY for TB!

Great idea, hope it works or at least gets valve's attention.

about time, hopefully valve sees this and gets their ducks in line.

I understand why a lot of the older titles have 30fps locks (such as the older Tomb Raider Titles) entirely because of the original hardware limits and how there was a much tighter relation between the code and the hardware.

But there is zero excuse for newer games and ports, I like what TB has done.

I hope this works, and I hope Valve doesn't shut it down because developers whine about being called out on their crap

I joined the group. I think it's a great idea!
