Torrent Application Alts

I'm watching Tek 195 and the question is posed "What Torrent Apps do you use?"

Well @Logan, here you are.

Tixati. Tixati is probably my favorite over all.

"But it's old! Ew! Bleh!"

I can do torrent checks with it, it has an interface I know (I used old utorrent and Abuze) and all the other things you would want in a torrent app is in there.

What about you guys?

I currently use transmission on Linux, and when I used to use Windows, I used Transmission-qt. Both are free, open source and no ads!

That and it ships with most standard distros, minus Arch and such

  • Qbittorrent
  • Deluge

Are my personal favorites, both have a very similar ui to Utorrent.
But it does not contain any bloatware.

I used Bitcomet back in my Windows days. Transmission now.

That! Transmission for Linux and OSX, and TransmissionQt for Windows.

Been on it for 3 years+ and works like a charm. Love it.

+1 for Deluge, too

I'm on qbittorrent. Works fine.

I use qbittorrent. never had a problem.

qBittorrent due to nanite and its works much better than utorrent imho

+1 to transmissions and deluge.

I use the linux version of utorrent, but I'll probably switch to transmission or something else at some point. Anything which has the 'force download' function so you can bypass the scheduler for specific torrents.

I use vuze ( windows & ubuntu), I find it works pretty well , it has a function for streaming media to other devices and a few other bells and whistles .

firefox extension torrent tornado

uTorrent 2.21 The one without all the bloat.
