Top Reliable Modems (ADSL 2)

Hey Everyone,

I have an ASUS RT-N16 running DD-WRT bridging from an old DSL modem.

Im not getting ADSL2 speed due to the old modem and it takes too long to reboot once it drops out.

I need a really reliable ADSL 2 modem (1 LAN 1 WAN) to keep on 24/7 If anybody has suggestions.

(I can provide custom cooling)

I have seen <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0JFfpG4BWI>

But it didnt talk about how those routers were being connected to modems.

I would like to know how everybody is setup to achieve maximum reliability on their 24/7 networks?

Thanks,

Pretty hard to find something thats 'just' a modem these days, but a lot of modem+routers have a bridging mode you can switch them to. Thats what I've done with my cable modem+router to my router.

Else if you know how to actually network and got plenty of cash: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833150129&Tpk=Cisco%20ADSL
