If using the top m.2 slot as sata instead of pcie, will it still steal pcie lanes as if it were a pcie nvme?
Using the crosshair vii hero motherboard, thinking Samsung 970 Evo pcie in bottom slot and a 860 Evo sata in the top slot, for a clean build.
If it’s set to SATA it will not use PCIe lanes. If it is set to PCIe it will share lanes with the PCIe slot below the “Crosshair VII Hero” branding.
