Hi i was just wondering my case (psu at top) has 3 intake fans(1front and 2 spaces at side) but only 1 exhaust plus psu is that too much positive airflow and should i just place 1 fan at front and 1 at side (across from my cpu).
Thanks :)
P.S i plan on replicating the drilled pattern from the side and create another fan space at the top but thats to come.
P.P.S i want my case to be as cool as possible because i have lost a laptop and ps3 to overheating
I would do some tests. However, the most important fans are the side fans blowing down on the motherboard and components.
The real idea here is air displacement, not just airflow. How much air are you moving through your case. I have a Corsair 800D and I am getting better temps after covering some extra air holes that were in the case. I want fans to control all the air that goes in and out of my case. So, I would cover the extra holes and install one more exhaust fan (in the top if there is not one there already).
Ok thanks Logan. I will need to measure the diameter of the holes on the side and drill the same pattern as on the the top and fit another fan. This is my first build so I don't want my pc to have tempature issues. Bye the way i have heard mixed opinions on the tempatures of the AMD FX cpu's i would appreciate you're opinion mainly on the 6300 but im still looking around for the best cpu. Thanks :)
