To Logan and Wendel

What genre of game are you the most tired of?

For me, it has to be First Person Shooters, specifically modern military shooters, because they are basically the same shit over and over again. Sure, there might be a few exceptions, but it just seems like every modern military shooter is a copy paste of each other.

Now that you have probably said the genre you are the most tired of, what would you do to make a game of that genre interesting to you?

Going to my modern military shooter example, I would make an FPS involving terrorists and the US military, but you can play as both sides of the conflict. Terrorist side being you are fighting because the US military killed your friends who were just civilians and US side you play as a US soldier fighting the terrorists but questioning your sergeant's horrible decisions, and your choices affect the storyline. Now I can imagine people being really pissed off over this game if it were made. I believe the newer Medal of Honor game did this, but it was done during like 1 mission and it was executed horribly.

Agree it's fun for a bit and then.......unless you have a great community, clan, real friends to lan party with shooters get =(

I am most tired of JRPG they just suck this past generation and I see no come back for them, sad when you make 2354489057348902 flavors and sequels of a game that only kicked major ass on SNES and GBA. There is going to be that one game that can make it through and make an impression or two but nothing will beat the past games and thats why they remade them for GBA.

On the note of FPS games I am trying to stick indie and where I know my community(s) are going to play heavy on where I wont have to worry bout preteen kids talkin smack and is why PC is more mature in its players hell even as a kid I didnt Bitch Moan and Whine at all......My the gamer gods have no mercy on this new generation of kids and bless PC gamers with some kick ass games as the PS4 and One duke it out in next "Console Wars"

The thing about JRPGs this gen is that everyone just started sucking at making them. The mainstream ones that really aren't good (cough, Final Fantasy 13, cough) get all the attention, while fantastic ones such as Nier, Xenoblade (better yet, that's one of the best RPGs ever), Resonance of Fate, Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 2, and Pandora's Tower (kind of like Nintendo's answer to people saying Nintendo doesn't make gritty games) are ignored. It's annoyingly painful.

Dude Valkyria Chronicles is freakin awesome and those are the saving grace games that are keep JRPGs still alive I do agree on FF13 cause wow.....just...no.... lol I hope with the coming of these next gen consoles and the rise of better indie support we get some really intresting games that are just down right amazing
