TN vs PVA

I really want to get this monitor but idk if PVA is good enough is it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/WASABI-MANGO-UHD400-REAL-4K-HDMI-2-0-40-Samsung-PVA-Panel-UHD-3840x2160-Monitor-/111912465075?hash=item1a0e80b2b3:g:3AwAAOSwe7BWzS2K

In terms of quality TN < VA < IPS < HDR

So if your only other option was a TN panel then I'd say PVA is the way to go for pixel quality.

I can argue, that if your goal isn't something, connected with color accuracy, and your goal is entertainment - games, videos, internet, etc.:
TN < IPS < VA
VA have less of a back light bleed issue, VA have better black color, so no need for black color correction.
But people love their IPS panels...
Basically, IPS gives the best colors... Like 99%, while VA gives you 95%, but less issues...

Image quality has a lot more variables than just panel type. Color depth, screen uniformity, blur, ghosting, etc. For example: A well made 10-bit TN panel will look and perform better than a cheapo 6+2 bit IPS.

As for the monitor in question i wouldn't buy a PVA panel monitor without checking it in person because they are known to have clouding and contrast uniformity issues. PVA is the VA variant with the highest contrast and widest viewing angles. Best blacks due to high contrast, color reproduction and viewing angles between TN and IPS.

just stick with ips and you'll be good

True, although OP didn't actually give us his TN monitor option, only the PVA, and there's some really good TN panels out there.
