Okay so which is better? I want a shooter that is enjoyable, but I am not brilliantly skilled at FPS, so which is recommended for someone who just wants fun, but can still do well?
Thanks

Titanfall. Haven't played COD AW but I have about 40 hrs in Titanfall and it's really good. I'm sure you can find Titanfall for 15 bucks too.
that's kind of a hard question because from what we've all been hearing. Advanced Warfare is SURPRISINGLY really good. and the graphics are actually not so bad on PC. but honestly Titanfall has a tiny bit of a learning curve. I've actually played it and funny enough there is a Tutorial mode to show you how to play the game lol.
But if i had to choose between the two I'd go with Advanced Warfare. (this assuming you've PLAYED a call of duty game) the gameplay is alittle bit different but the formulae is the same. you'll pick up how to play the game well much quicker in Advanced Warfare.
Well I have played every CoD since Black Ops, and as the series progressed I got bored even faster with each itteration, which is why I was thinking Titanfall, I love the free running aspect, but I love the gun customisation on CoD, but as said I was no good on CoD, so is it worth getting AW then?, Only other problem is my 6870 1GB, while I will be updating early next year, will it run the game okay? would prefer 60fps.
Thanks
I bought both recently and I've been enjoying AW's single player, although I haven't played the MP yet.
The problem with Titanfall is all of the BS. Getting killed by melee or the smart pistol is more frustrating than ANYTHING.
Eh you probably won't get 60fps with that. i'd kinda push for a 290 if you can. you can grab one for about $250 right now which is just a steal really lol
am tempted to get a 970, havent decided yet, its either the Vapor X 290 or the MSI 970, will I be able to get 30 FPS at 720 high? Not too bothered about turning down the reso.
Ive been watching theradbrad's playthrough of it, looks rather good and enjoying it, is it as bad as ghosts? that left a real bitter taste for me
Doesn't origin have a thing where you can buy a came and return it if you don't like it? Maybe do that on Titanfall and see what you think?
I can't compare it to ghosts, it's the first CoD I've played since MW2.
But it did interest me enough to buy it, and that's saying something, since I haven't bought a CoD before.
The campaign seems to be fairly standard, the story isn't terribly interesting yet. I think the exo suit is what really makes this game interesting.
you get 48 hours free to play it, I am doing that with Titanfall when I get home

The Vapour-X is $250 right now plus you get 3 free games.
But to answer your question on the 6870. yeah you should be able to do 720p but i think you'll probably be able to stay in the mid 40s to 50s in the FPS scale if you fiddle with the graphical settings a bit.
Note that Titanfall is available for $10 on Amazon, if you decide to get it.
Thats a US only deal :( I already check it, but thanks anyways :)
true, but is it worth an extra £10 for 8 - 15 FPS? and I get a free game with Nvidia, I have a lot of games that are on the AMD bundle.
And yeah I can tweak the game easily, It is a rather fast thing though, it still plays stuff at ultra :) so maybe able to get away with high 720p :)
Oh, sorry, that really sucks.
After playing more of the AW campaign, I'm realizing it suffers from the same thing many "modern" shooters suffer from, which is that you're restricted to a certain area and you're "leaving the mission" or whatever if you try and leave said area.
Probably my biggest complaint with the campaign so hard. It doesn't seem too terribly easy, although I am playing on the second highest difficulty.
Get Titanfall now because it's cheaper and get AW later when you get bored of TItanfall.
Both games are similar but different, and both are worth playing.
By the way, I also know a shady Russian website where you can get CoD: AW (region free, multilanguage) for $42
well most of my time I will be playing Multiplayer, I am not too bothered about the single player, I will play it, just to get a feel for some of the guns, I will more than likely play it on medium.
Same, I'm just playing the SP since I'm waiting for my friends to download it. I just figured I'd give you my thoughts on the SP so far.
After I've played some MP I'll post my thoughts on that.
