Titan XXX (24GB vRAM)

i am aiming to get a 4GB card in April or June.... 24GB?! I assume there are some computational tasks that could benefit and use this much video memory... but i don't think there is a game that coul use 12GB... let alone 24GB @_@

Oh yeah.... the release date.... [ETA: 01/04/15]
Gotcha ;)
Although... Not only does Christmas seem to come earlier and earlier each year.. but it seems April Fools does as well.

Even if that were to happen, there would be a MASSIVE bottleneck with the 384-Bit Bus. and i personally wouldn't even recommend it.

Also that photo is fake to the unholiest maximum. BFG as a company went out of business 5 YEARS ago.

Here's the original photo.

LOL, I knew something was up when I saw 'BFG' in the desc.
I actually have a 6800gt from them that uses the old agp, i think it works but I don't have a computer to test it.

I'm not sure if 24GB will be enough to let me watch my XXX when I have a titan in my pants.

EDIT: yeah, I went there.

i honestly first started getting in to computers when the i5-2500 came out (GTX 500 series was out i think), so i don't know about BFG other than i know they existed. Slightly off topic, i remember when Software Etc. (Gamestop) used to sell Graphics cards in their stores :P

I'm pretty sure Gamestop used to be called Electronic Boutique back then good sir lol

They used to sell graphics cards, then they stopped for a bit. Then after the rise of PC gaming, they started to sell them again. But the Gamestop CEO is a Fanboy cause all my local gamestops only sell Nvidia Cards they have no love for AMD lol

There was Software Etc. Funco Land, and then they all became Game Stop. then it was Gamestop and EB Games, then Game Stop acquired them.

"The first was with Software Etc."

i don't remember seeing any GPUs in Gamestop passed like 2003-ish

This amount of RAM would have been great for pro users if the Titan X didn't have nerfed double precision.

The Titan X is basically an quick $400 donation to NVidia. That, and a card that's going to be beaten by $500 cards in a few months.

you really think the 390X will not only beat the Titan X, but be $500? i hope so, because my budget is about $350-$400, so i am hoping the 390 comes out at that price, and beats the 970 (which was my first choice. but i have to wait till June anyways)

I remember reading somewhere that the 380(X) is just a rebrand of the 290(X), and the 290(X) is similar or better than the 970 in most games, so I'd hazard a guess that even if HBM doesn't turn out to be the pixie dust the "benchmarks" make it out to be the 390(X) will still be at the level of the 980 or thereabouts.

I assume the regular 390 to be $500. The 390x is not important. :)

Even nvidia is readying a gtx985? gtx980ti? which is basically a faster 6gb titan x.

lol
