Will PC players be able to play with XBone players? I'm not familiar with how online games handle multiplatform, put them on the same server or separate.
Most of the time the servers are separate, especially with FPS titles. But it's not unheard of for servers to be merged across all platforms. FFXI is one of the few games that adheres to this model.
All of the articles I've read about Titanfall and cross-platform play point to no.
I think its quite possible, there was an article a few months back for ausgamers.
Phil Spencer is quoted, "I’m not allowed to leak things [smiles]. But I think what you’re talking about makes a lot of sense. Now you have differences in Windows gaming and console gaming around control and input... in fact if you go back to Shadow Run on Xbox 360 -- something I worked on -- we had PC players playing against Xbox 360 customers. We didn’t have tremendous success with that, but we learnt a lot from it."
I also heard that it would be up to the developers to enable Mouse and Keyboard support for the Xbox One, it was confirmed already that PS4 will support these peripherals for War Thunder. So with all that I don't think its out of the realm of possibility, not to mention Microsofts heavy use of Cloud Services al SkyDrive.
I already wanted it, if I get to show people the difference between a console player with a controller and pc player using a KB+M with it then I will want it even more. Not to sound douchy or elitist but kb+m is better for fps. :3
def getting this game. but i think xbone players are stuck on the xbox live eco system.
Will be definitely getting this for PC. a few friends are going to be getting it for console but when given the choice I will always get it on PC. Smoother gameplay and to be able to use my sound card are always a plus.
Apparently the chances of it happening are slim at best. I doubt I'd buy a console for it but it's always more fun to play with familiar people. We still have until March, maybe we can play together than.
Thanks guys :)
