Threadripper 'Memory Code 00'

Hi,
Zenith II Extreme Alpha Motherboard, V1802 BIOS
AMD 3990X threadripper CPU
Samsung 990 Pro NVME
Corsair AX1600 PSU
Powercolor 7900XTX liquid Devil GPU
G-SKILL Trident Z Neo DDR4-3200 C16-18-18-38 1.35V 256Gb (8*32Gb) memory module

Upon switching on the motherboard immediately enters the memory test and appears to display ‘memory code 00’. This is followed by an immediate shutdown

The motherboard appears to be stuck in memory test mode because it cycles through the 3 Q LEDs (Manual Page1-15) a couple of times, settles on the yellow DRAM LED and then immediately terminates the boot process, in short, fails to boot at all!

This appears to indicate that the board doesn’t see any of the G-SKILL Trident Z Neo DDR4-3200 C16-18-18-38 1.35V 256Gb (8*32Gb) memory kit (MPN F4-3200C16Q2-256GTZN) sticks. Unfortunately, this memory kit doesn’t appear to be on the board QVL, which isn’t unusual. I’ve tried inserting individual DRAM sticks into slot A-1 (Manual page 1-5) and got the same results as before. From this, it seems that this kit may be defective. I’ve attached some information on this kit to get your thoughts on it

As per your previous email, I made some notes on the steps taken and these are shown below for you to comment on:-

  1. Updated the BIOS to V1802 using the USB flashback
  2. Disconnected the mains lead from the PSU
  3. Pressed/held down the case power button for 180 seconds to discharge the system
  4. Pressed/held down the motherboard start button for 90 seconds to discharge the system
  5. Pressed the clear CMOS switch on the rear I/O panel for 30 seconds.
  6. Removed the CMOS battery and left it disconnected for 12 hours.
  7. Checked the G-SKILL DIMM TRX40 compatibility for SKU F4-3200C16Q2-256GTZN.
  8. Removed all but one 32GB DIMM memory stick in slot A-1 (Manual page 1-5).
  9. Restarted system
  10. Added DIMM stick to slot C-1
  11. Reseated the GPU.
  12. After 12 hours, the CMOS battery was reconnected.
  13. Powered up the system again.
  14. Memory code 00 immediately showed and the system had an immediate shutdown.
  15. The Q-led indicators cycled through, leaving the yellow LED constant.
  16. Reflashed the BIOS to V1802 using the USB flashback Buttons on the Rear I/O PANEL.
  17. Tried Clearing the CMOS again using the rear I/O panel/ now the result
  18. Can’t change to second BIOS
  19. Removed all DIMM sticks and ‘memory test’ was displayed along with a constant yellow LED.
  20. Removed all the cables except for the 24-pin power
  21. Removed the motherboard from the case for bench testing
  22. Removed the waterblock and CPU
  23. Check the socket for damage and took photos to check pin damage
  24. Reseated the CPU using the AMD torque Driver
  25. Reseated the waterblock and applied correct 0.6Nm torque to the screws

How do I fix this?
