I’m wondering if pairing a TRX40 AORUS MASTER with 4 sets of F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC would work, vs 2 sets of F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNC that are listed as compatible but not available.
Probably but not at 3.6 ghz. I doubt you’d get two x4 sets to work at 3.6ghz either, since that rating is for a single kit.

Ah okay. Looking at the gskill website I suppose I should count my self lucky if I get 3.2GHz since that is the fastest 16GBx8 kits they sell(for threadripper)
i dont think he’d have any issues running that speed. i have 4 sticks of team t-force xtreme running 3600 cl18 on the xmp settings on my threadripper pc with 0 issues.
now 8 sticks at 3600 might be a different story

The F4-3600C16Q-32GTZN (8GBx4 kit @3600MHz) is B-die but the F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC I believe is Hynix C-die.
I was under the impression that Hynix C-die was really good with ryzen, I wish I remembered the source for this though it would be useful now.
Is it likely I would be better off getting 4 sets of 3.2GHz 14-14-14-34 as it is B-die and 8.8ns vs 8.9ns (so perhaps the same, but rounding?)
It’s almost 50% more expensive for samsung B-die than Hynix C-die. It’s not an issue of price if it’s going go get my infinity fabric to run faster with quad channel.

I have 2 sets of F4-3600C16Q-64GVKC running at 3600 with the XMP settings on my AORUS XTREME. I had to get up to at least F3 BIOS to get the compatibility.
