So, my dad asked me to build a family computer, but I don't really know much about low end computers, so here's what I came up with.
Silver stone Precision PS08 Case
ASRock B75M-R2 Motherboard
Celeron G1610 CPU
Radeon 5450 GPU
2x2GB Kingston Value RAM
Seagate Barracuda 500GB HDD
Coolermaster 80mm Slim Fan
It'll be mainly used for web browsing/messaging and watching 1080p movies from an external hard drive or YouTube. I want it to last for 3 years before I have to upgrade any parts. I haven't chosen a PSU yet, but I'll go for a 350W, seeing as I can't find anything below that.

I'm trying to keep it as cheap as I can, could you give reasons why I should choose a more expensive processor? The Celeron doesn't seem to have any issues and the other processors don't seem to be nescessary for what the computer will be used for.
Well you still whant the computer to be snappy around the desktop and browseing the A8 is a cpu and a video card combined (it has a intergrated Radeon HD 7560D on the cpu die) that will run 1080 video without a problem.
The celeron cpu's where never good when thay where new thay are old and slow.
Allso haveing the newer parts means you whont be needing to upgrade anytime soon anless the family get in to pc gameing and then you will only need to add in a dedicated video card...but the A8 video card can still play sonme games with the seting turned down.
I added the ssd in there to for fast booting/less heat/low maintenance and of course it is silent as it has no moveing parts.
