Hello Tek Syndicate crew!
I've recently been looking at getting a new pair of headphones to replace the Razer Kraken Pro's I bought recently on Black Friday. I like the microphone, and the sound of the headphones isn't too bad, but it's a bit too bass heavy for me, and I've heard that so called "gaming" headsets are pretty gimmicky with their sound, and that studio headphones give you much better sound for the price.
The two different headphones I'm looking at are these:
Audio-Technica ATH-M50:
Audio-Technica ATH-700X:
I'm leaning towards the M50 because it's $30 cheaper and it has a ridiculous number of reviews (2,524!), but I've also heard good things about the 700X, particularly from xFactorGaming, who speaks highly of them.
The main game I play is Battlefield 4, but I play other games like Bioshock, Civilization V, and good old Minecraft :) I listen to any music except rap, and I prefer a fairly even sound, though I do still like bass a bit, I just don't like it overpowering everything else.
So what do you guys think is the better choice? And are there other headphones around $100 that would be better?
