Thoughts on a new SSD

Looks to be that my crucial m4 died so im looking at getting a new one. Looking to spend around 100$ and this seems to be the best price to capacity

So thoughts on that or if anyone knows of a better deal please reply with a link or comment. Just so you know, i use this as a boot drive and strictly that. I dont move large files back and forth with it or do caching or any of that. thanks -HF

Ehh....

I'd stay away from the PNY SSDs and the SSDNow! drives from Kingston. They have been using low quality flash flash. They ares slow and don't usually perform as advertised as well as having higher failure rates.

Since you don't need to use it for anything but a boot drive then I guess that may be okay but you also don't need that much capacity. The Samsung 840 Evo is currently my favorite SSD. The Crucial M500 is also nice.

I would say go for a Crucial MX100, from all the benchmarks I've seen they are really good for the price. Although I have yet to receive mine, but I will most likely saying the same thing after I get it
