What makes you interested in buying one like this instead of building your own?
Better off building your own, the Xeon 1231v3 is overall a better CPU, the 390 is a faster GPU, and this includes a 480gb SSD
is windows already included in that thing's cost? In any case you could drop the SSD to 240gbs and still have a better system overall even with the windows license cost

Just curious from this build what performance for gaming would I be looking at ?
Mostly the CPU has hyperthreading so it's basically an i7 at the same price
A free 480gb ssd it looks like. Ssds are amazing
Thanks for that video :D
seems a bit pricy for the hardware.
it's not that big of a price hike... for the 3-4 hours someone not accustomed to putting together computers saves not having to put it together (dunno what you guys make on a Saturday but 100 isn't worth my time :P)... the PSU baseline is trash, and so is the baseline case... but it DOES come with a 2TB SSHD... which isn't terrible (it's not a SSD, but it's not terrible and they do last longer than I thought they would when they hit the market)... it'd end up being 1000 or so after the necessary upgrades, assembled, delivered, 3-year warranty... I've seen much more terrible...
I mean he's getting a Skylake i5 on a decent motherboard, with a nice GPU, 2TB SSHD, legit OS for 899? Yes, I could put something together with better quality for cheaper, but then he still has to build it, buy windows, won't have an optical drive, etc...
I do find it hilarious they charge 25 for "cable management"...
If you have the free time, buy your parts and build... if you don't, upgrade the case to a Fractal Define R5 and upgrade the PSU to the Corsair RM750x, then consider if you want to spend a little extra for the 390... with the GPU upgrade or not it's a solid gaming rig and not terribly inflated for what you get... it's certainly not a price/performance MONSTER... but for a company that does prebuilt PCs, I've certainly seen worse markups...
I looked at the system... just make sure you upgrade the PSU because it'll be Chinese trash... I wouldn't be caught dead with that stock case and the case will last for a LONG time, so I recommended upgrading to the Define R5 for like 32 or whatever...
If you want to build your own, you can build a modestly better system for a bit cheaper... my point was that IF you didn't, then this isn't a terrible option at 1000ish assuming you got the two upgrades I would basically demand you get so you're not stuck with a terrible plastic case and a PSU that could set your house on fire :P
I mean it's not a great buy, but it's not really a terrible buy either I have seen MUCH worse bundles.
I agree with @DrunkenPanda that you should replace the PSU if it isn't a brand you know.
