Yes, but is the price right?

Are you going to build it yourself, get it built by a company or is it a prebuilt system?

It's £899.99
It's getting build by a company called Palicomp.

Hmm prebuilt.... it's ok for a prebuilt but you can build it yourself cheaper and its not that difficult to build a computer. What is your max budget are you willing to spend on a computer.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/BTQ7f7 Here is something that I whipped up and its bit better than the prebuilt since it has an SSD, i7 though not overclockable but the extra threads are nice if you like to run lot's of stuff in the background.

Seems to be a pretty sweet deal.
Cheaper than the same parts on pcpartpicker by £50.

What is your current graphics card? I ask because you may be better off waiting for the new GPUs to come out since it'll won't be too long.
And turning graphics settings up after getting used to them low is like taking of shades after wearing them for hours.

That said I'm heavily biased because I'm still using my 9800GTX+ ;) .

Mother of...

800 is way too much.
Do you really need that DVD optical drive? Most games today are best bought via online platforms, like Steam.
For gaming, a 970 is good enough for 1080p, but it kinda struggles when using maximum settings, it can fall down into the 30fps in some titles. Im sure it will work, but for a gaming pc, more of the budget should be directed into that graphics card item.

I dont really know that cooler, but knowing PC building companies, they surely are overcharging for it, and that the product doesnt really perform all that well. Default attitude towards premade machines is distrust. And well deserved it is.
Also, didnt read anything about the power supply in use. Not that the wattage is relevant, surely you can do with as low as 500w, but the MOST important facts are: How many Amperes in the 12v rail? How much variance in oscilloscope ripple supression tests? Max efficiency under load and high temp?

DIY might sound challenging, but it isnt. There are plenty of guides and people here available to help build a better system for the same money. I can understand if your constraint is time, but otherwise, paying prebuilt is always silly

Why is this more expensive?
How?

I didn't know there was new graphics cards coming out. I had a GTX 970 but the rest of my parts were pretty bargain bin stuff.

Haha they come out every year man, this generation is looking pretty promising - better memory for nvidia and lower power consumption for AMD.

Did it die or something?

The rest of my PC's pretty old so I was either gonna build with the GTX 970 I already had or sell it.

Woulf it be worth just using that and upgrading the rest to a higher state or just wait for the new cards?

What is your current specs too see if they need to be upgraded?

You can (and should) take the card out and put it in your new computer!!!

Then maybe wait a year or two until you get a new graphics card. I don't really see the point of upgrading your 970 even with the newer generation card unless you go up a price tier.
It's not like you won't be able to play games at the right resolution with your 970 for a few years at the least.

My specs are the following :

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
AMD FX-4100
Zambezi 32nm Technology
RAM
4.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M5A78L-M LX V2 (AM3R2)
Graphics
HDTV (1920x1080@60Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (ZOTAC International)
Storage
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-9YN162 ATA Device (SATA)
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224DB ATA Device

Yeah get a new computer, its quite old but if you have that graphics card already just upgrade the rest of the computer since that FX4100 is holding the GTX 970 a fair bit

You might as well keep your optical drive and hdd as well. Though depends on what you want to do with the old computer (ie. sell or give to friends/family etc.)
