Themeing

Well I have always been confused on how to theme Linux.  I am running Xubuntu 12.04.  It is using the XFCE DE.  I have tried installing themes, but they never seem to appear. :(  

I tried making /.themes and /Themes, but I just cannot get it to work.  Can anyone help?

1. go here http://xfce-look.org/

2. go to /usr/share/themes

sudo nautilus

It works awesome!  Only thing was is that I use Thunar and not Nautilus.

hmmmm I thought nautilus comes included with all *buntus

I have another question :O

 

Well I decided to use Rele, but it only themed the windows and not everything else like in the photo.  It did not appear in the Appearance section like it did in Windows Manager.  Are there other things I need to install?

 

One other thing: I use Chrome instead of Firefox, but whenever I close it I have to reset it as default browser.  I have always had this problem, how can I fix it?
