Thecus N7510 owncloud setup

Hello, I’ve got owncloud setup and running on my thecus N7510 and it is accessible only to the local network, i seem to be missing something to get this damn thing to be able to access the internet and in turn be accessible from the outside web, seriously how, i’ve read too many documentations covering different versions that aren’t configured the way this version is.

To get access from the outside you need to do port forwarding on your router. Two ports actually need to be forwarded:

To get access to the front login page from the NAS, which is port 80 or 443 (HTTPS)

To get access to the owncloud page, which should be 21000 or 21443 (HTTPS) if I remember correctly

Once the ports are forwarded he should be able to access owncloud from the outside by using his external IP (or using service like DynDNS or Thecuslink).

Turns out the N7510 itself was not accessing the internet because of reasons, i've changed routers since setting it up, it now access the internet ok, i signed up for thecuslink and responded to the confirmation email, thecuslink is not working, i've put all the ports into the port triggering option of my billion router still nothing. the thecus link test status is this
Summary on testing freelancetech.thecuslink.com
Test on port 8888 is failed.
Test on port 9800 is failed.
Test on port 9802 is failed.

also gives this awesome error message when i enter my DDNS settings and hit apply in the ThecusOS

ports added to upnp port management rules and enabled upnp in my router, along with port triggering settings entered into router for all ports it won't work without one or the other, it still gives me that awesome message when i enter my thecuslink settings ??? but i can access from outside world not just my local network.

ARRRR it was fine when i went to sleep, woek up and it's broken again, thecus ID diag reports it fails the test on all ports, why, why, I've removed the uPnP port management settings in the NAS, no effect, i've removed the port triggering settings in the router and put the uPnP port amanagement settings back....they were the last thing i added again last night, still nothing, entered thecuslink DDNS info again, still nothing, am i the only one to ever get the crazy message when entering thecuslink account details?

For the sake of anyone having the same issues and expecting the free thecus ID thing to work it doesn't, a free ddns registration with no-ip works just fine, apparently thecus have had issues with the thecus id thing working for ages, also some asus products have a free asus ddns signup, same deal, not real reliable at all.
