The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf will be a new game released on the Xbox360 and the PS3. It's based on the story of the first Witcher, but built up from scratch. It keeps the good elements from the first one (such as the story) and add new elements to the game. They are enhancing the combat system, adding new camera views, etc.


It is said to be released on Fall 2009. Sadly, it won't be released for PC but only for next gen console.

Haha, I'm sorry to disappoint you bro, but that project has been put on hold for an undefined amount of time. Just learned it like yesterday, was about to bump this thread but you did it for me ! :D

Personally, I don't really care for I don't have a next gen console...but ya.

So yeah they have put it on hold because they say they didn't like the direction it was taking, and they want to concentrate more on an other game they are developing since the release of The Witcher.

I really hope it's The Witcher 2. The original The Witcher is one of my favorite game, and now since a good week and a half I'v been playing it again like mad, with the Enhenced Edition. Shit is amazing. I really recommand it, if you like RPG that is. The HARD difficulity is really fun because you NEED your potions to survive, like it was meant to be.

Yeah definitively get it. Make sure to get the "The Witcher Enhanced Edition", it's a second release of the game. The original, while being excellent, was not to their standard of quality so they updated it, new animations, new voice acting, you know a good revamp of what wasn't so great, and than re-releasing. It's fucking sick :D
