I need to buy some wine.
How was that wine?
Really like the artwork on the label
I don’t know much about wine but that label art is cool and I like it.
It was fine. Cabs aren’t really my thing, but it was fine. Fairly fruity and not overly tannic. Pretty normal Chilean cab sauv.
I don’t drink it, I just make it
I am a scrub with an unrefined pallet, but have seen those “wine clubs” that send like a case a month for around $10/bottle $60/half case.
Are they any good to get started developing an appreciation?
Or better just getting $20+ (decent?) bottles with actual flavour, and not waste time with the antifreeze?
Picked myself up a 20 yr Tawny Port.
No wonder they call it “mouthwash”. Once you swallow it basically completely disappears and cleans the pallet.
How is it?
Tastes like red.

It’s good. Spicy.
We got a bunch of reds from wine dot com.
Nothing too fancy.
Speakig of reds, if you like Pinot Noir and want an interesting tasting comparison I can heartily suggest grabbing some from Willamette Valley Vineyards. They have several different Pinot Noirs that are all grown in the same region, but have different nuances and profiles. The Whole Cluster and the Estate are pretty solid values if you just want a Pinot Noir for the table as well.
In the Christmas spirit I decided to make some spiced wine (aka mulled wine) a la Skyrim Cookbook.
And this was the base.
