First? :U

About the robot paintings, I'd definitely be driven to buy some if it's particularly striking. I wouldn't want just robot art, though, so if anything it'd only drive me to buy some human art to have alongside it. Having just robot art would be a bit depressing IMO.

I'd be fine with buying art created by an AI, heck I'd probably want to make the AI myself. At least I'm glad that I picked the correct major since I'm in computer science.

Noticing the Tek is an hour and a half.

Also Wendell if you aren't attending Lan Syndicate, can you please be carted around in that Lian Li PC.

We have those Maccas kiosks here is Aus, There not bad you cant find out more their called create your taste.

PS. Out internet isn't that bad, (i feel) yes, We have had data limits for years (But unlimited plans are becoming more common and cheaper) and the speeds arnt that great, (20 down 1 up is considered decent slightly better than average) And ping isn't that amazing (20-100ms) and its not all that reliable, But you make it sound worse than it is.

minor tangent, can we get "the kek can robots be autistic"? please and thankyou.

So 'The Donald' has been in secret meetings with the Mexican government to reach an consensus on the design of the Huge, Classy wall. The Mexican people have agreed to pay for this final design proposal.
To quote Mr. T. "This wall will keep the criminal element in their place."

The reason why so many IOT devices are focusing on cloud reliance, is for the potential revenue that it can create.

For my example I will focus on the easiest device to demonstrate what is wrong.

For example, the dropcam, nest cam, arlo, etc style of cameras are completely non-functional without the cloud. Consumers who end up with these expensive products, are in the worst possible consumer position, as the companies that make the products can hold the products that you purchased, ransom. For example, if you have a dropcam, and are actually crazy enough to pay that insane monthly fee for recording (a fee that doesn't exist with non-cloud cameras), what would you do if they suddenly decided that the price of the service is going up by 80%? What if they decide to get rid of the free live view, and instead, charge a monthly fee for that.

Under current laws, you would either have to pay, or have your device become a paperweight.

As for the Oculus spying. Yes their TOS is troubling for sure, but at least as of a few days ago the info being sent back to Facebook SEEMS to be harmless.

See this Reddit post for the posters reasoning for saying that.

I think already that a lot of pop music is co-created in some fashion by an algorithm. Not talking about "big names" rather that white noise that populates top pop hits charts (with some exceptions ofc). Either that`s how human creativity works on a large scale or i need to check my paranoia levels - is it tinfoil time? ;)

Im Autistic...... Am I a robot?!!?!?! OH NOES!!!!!!

If you guys don't get this office, then you should consider going on a cross country road trip and having meetups.

@Logan the reason you gave for not buying VR is the same reason I only run Linux and why I only purchase Linux compatible games. I never use a VM or anything to play Windows exclusives because the last thing I want to do is send the game devs a message with my wallet saying Windows exclusivity is ok.

I'm ok with products phoning home...as long as the home they're phoning to is my own.

The Burr-Feinstein bill isn't being introduced because of "older generation" ignorant lawmakers. It's being forced on us because the elites are scared that the peons are gaining power. It's Washington v. the rest of us

I once had to talk to a chatbot at Fedex. Because they had parcel waiting for me.

It was fucking terrible. The chatbot could not understand what i was saying. It went like this.
Chatbot: Please state your address for the parcel delivery.
Me: 19 Harley Road, NW14 5SR
Chatbot: 106 Horse Road, NW13 5XR. Is that correct?
Me: No
Chat: Please state your address.
Me: 19 Harley Road, NW14 5SR
Chatbot: 106 Horsly Road, NU13 5XR. Is that correct?
Me: Jesus Fuck, NO NO NO!

I had to wait for a human to pick up the phone because that was impossible to get through.
