RE: Customer Data {Radio Shack}

Customer Data has unfortunately become a highly-traded commodity in our modern retail era.

As for Customer Data, give then JUNK aka DISINFORMATION

Ha ha ha......eagerly anticipating the Barnacules, and Logan 'Windows vs Linux Debate', should be good value for money lol.

I'm just gonna throw this out there, Ex Machina was actually really good. Raises the kind of questions you want a movie about AI to raise, and was really well made.

Okay that is it, I have had enough.

You live in Seattle area now. What are the chances of setting up your own local Internet provider? Every damn episode you complain about the situation, berate Comcast and yet here you are using Comcast. Look into it, set a precedent in the area, FIX YOUR DAMN ISSUE! Or you know look into it at least.

There is noting more annoying hearing someone interrupt the otherwise good news to complain and the never do anything to help the situation.

/Rant. Back to the regularly scheduled Tek.

All meant in a light hearted but serious manner.

EDIT: Upcoming 980ti? What do you know!

Do they mind if I download all of the Tek? I hadn't noticed any similar previous question already being asked, so I figured I would. I would love to archive your videos for offline viewing, and to keep for when my own possible children are stuck in an invasive/paranoid society to perhaps educate them a little(with the best possible tinfoil hats our world has to offer!) didn't want to tag as to not constantly bug with my questions.

I posted the timetable in the YT comments and e-mailed it. Also included timetable for 180 since you guys have missed it or forgot.
Edit: Have a good flight Logan!

Just watched this before Tek, was interesting. Ending kind of threw me off a bit though, she seemed to lack the altruism I was hoping the AI would begin to show.

Phase-change materials are amazing and it could be revolutionary if more products using them would ever come to the mainstream market. They've been talking about drywall embedded with microbeads of PCM for a decade. I don't know why it's not available to the general public yet. You have to have ~4x the thickness in water (at room temp.), or ~10x thickness of concrete/brick to store the same amount of BTUs. Using thermal mass along with insulation can make indoor radiant temperatures much more comfortable with much less energy used for HVAC.

PCMs are not just for warm climates; they can be used in cooler climates as well. For example, MIT has built a number of experimental houses on their campus heated only by solar energy over the last ~50 years or so. Retaining heat overnight is a major hurdle to overcome to have a house heated 100% by the sun. Some of these houses have used PCMs as part of the design over the more traditional thermal masses like water and stone.

When I have enough money to build a house, I'll definitely try my hardest to include PCMs.

Well in another 13 hours and ?? minutes I will have 0181 downloaded to watch without 15 minute buffer issues. The presuming it doesn't crash on me. For now I am contemplating printing out a wall backdrop of Barnacules Nerdgasum stage set that S_W posted up, would improve my computer den amazingly.... and without the broken crackers down the seat

Not sure if its my system, but the video is realy laggy.

Pretty sure everyone is getting the lag, seems to be an issue with the video itself

TY

yeah thought so.

If you do find purchase info in on the Lian Li PC-Q26 please share. I've been looking for a source on that case for months...

Why no one talks about ReFS ???

Thanks for the episode guys. I thought it was really good, and when I was watching it something that struck me was the audio was really great. In the past there has been issues where either Logan or Wendell's mic level has been too low, and I don't know if I just haven't noticed it's been better recently, but I noticed it this episode. I really enjoyed the Verizon discussion, and the mention of the quote about good men doing nothing. The privacy and internet related issues you guys cover are very important to me, and your NSA coverage was what first got me watching way back when the Snowden leaks started happening, so keep doing your thing because I really appreciate it! <3

I mainly have a question about the implication of ASUS Zenfone using Intel's atom x86 processor, but I'll leave that for the end of my post.

First I want to mention just in passing that I'm still confused about the Oomi ads. I don't really know what's going on with all that, but the ad was shown this week. I've been extremely busy with school and I haven't been able to spend much time on the forums, so maybe I missed a lot of discussion on it, but I didn't see much other than the other tek episode thread. Either way, I kind of want to get one of the units just to try to hack it, and then after maybe succeeding be like, "told you so!" :P

I'm not trying to hate or throw anyone under the bus, I'm just being kind of tongue in cheek, inquisitive, but still concerned.

All that said, the main reason for this post is to inquire about the implications of the Intel Atom x86 processor in the Asus Zenfone 2. What exactly are the implications for this in comparison to other mobile processors like snapdragon? I don't know a whole lot about mobile processors and mobile processor architecture. I am pretty up to speed however on x86 and x64 when it comes to desktop and laptop processors.

The reason I'm asking is I'm in the market for a new phone, and I'm trying to decide what to get. I'm into hacking, and I think it would be cool to be able to hack with my phone, so maybe the Intel Atom is better for that? Like, could I just straight up install shit like nmap on the Asus out of the box or something? Can I run python on it and run python scripts? Or is it just better for development in comparison to stuff like snapdragon? I'm just curious what the big benefits to Intel Atom will be, and the kinds of things that will be able to be done with it that can't be done on snapdragon processors and the like. Like I said, I know what x86 is, but I have no idea what snapdragon and all those other mobile processors are in relation.

Thanks Tek <3

Edit: Decided I'm going to pick up a Oneplus One. Dat Kali nethunter, and the Nexus 6 is too damn high.

Does nothing for me. I don't base my opinions on what a Youtube personality has to say, Tek included

Took me a few minutes to realize that the monitor behind Logan was in fact a monitor and not a window. lol

I'm sure they don't mind as long as you don't modify it or try to take credit or something. The standard YouTube video license may have something else to say, so don't take my word for it, but there's a good chance it's totally fine.
