The tale of two setups

Right, heres the question.

Building a rather cheap setup, heres the options:
 1. 30 gb ssd and 1tb hdd, ssd for $ing.
  2. 60gb ssd  and 500gb hdd. ssd for boot drive.

  cheers, aaron.

60GB SSD and the 500GB HDD. In all reality, you won't use 1TB in the time it takes to save up enough money to buy a larger HDD. However, those small size SSDs have terrible price scaling. I would recommend getting a 128GB SSD and a much smaller HDD (smaller than 500GB) and saving up for some larger HDD storage space later. Newegg is selling a refurbished Seagate Barracuda 500GB for $29.99 right now. Barracuda drives are prone to failure, but for $30, it will keep any large games on Steam nice and happy. But don't get any SSD smaller than 120GB - you will regret it.

Hope I helped!

Cheers, man.
i asalso wondering if it was really worth buying an ssd to cache the main hdd, like what would the performance benefits be in all reality.
