Printers people, yes you read right, printers. One of the least discussed and least appreciated PC peripherals out there. Used to print out those [s]crappy, unintelligible drivel[/s] intelligently written, thought-provoking drafts or those important(?) articles to dump onto the ever increasing 'must read' pile that you never actually get round to reading.
What are your experiences with printers (apart from.. 'it prints shi* out'. smartass)? What are your recommendations for cheap printing (best bang per buck)? What do you do to avoid the dreaded flashing amber light?

Printers:
The things I have to constantly fix or reset spoolers for @ work.
And getting angry old ladies rage on me because I tell them they have to remove the stuck paper themself, by following the instructions
Monochrome laser printers have become a really cheap option these days for the average consumer. Even though the print quality of laser printers is awesome, they've taken a leaf out of the book of inkjet producers (Epson) by incessantly nagging the consumer to replace their toners for a refill.
Well, I have a Samsung ML-2240 and I've only used the original toner cartridge it came with. What I did was refill the toner myself and flashed the chip inside the printer to override toner empty message. Since I've had this for a couple of years now and I don't want to pay the price of the actual printer again for a replacement toner, I wanted to know what setup the people of RTW have. What tricks/hacks/tips can you share wrt printers.
If you can get a printer to print something out... you're either a genius or just very lucky.
I hate the damned things.
