Does anybody else listen to The Sword? They're a Stoner metal band based out of Austin, TX. I've only very recently gotten into metal, and this is the band I've started out with.

I only recall one song called Freya. Sounded pretty good.
Yeah that's from an old album I haven't bought yet, called Age of Winter's.
It was a long time ago that I heard it. I can only assume that they have gotten better.
I haven't listened to much stoner metal. But Down are a pretty good stoner/sludge band. Check out Stone the Crow, if you want.

Me and my friends bought there second album right after release because the album art looked cool (same way that I found Opeth). Now I have three of their albums i think.
The Sword reminds me of early Black Sabbath.
They're a good band, if you like them check out these bands: Mastodon, Kylesa, Electric Wizard, Kyuss, candlemass, and Baroness. Lol I could keep going on forever.
You may like Cannabis Corpse..It is HEAVY..

Back in 2009 I went to see Metallica live. The sword opened the show, they were pretty good. They did an amazing cover of a black sabbath song, I forget which though.
i love the sword. i have all their albums. hoping i can catch them live sometime.
