I have starting my quest to strip as much of the crap out of ten as possible. Wish me luck. ( I actually don't care. I already have in contained in a vm on my linux drive. ) It would be nice to actually use ten without spyware.
If you care about security why do you have online accounts and post on web sites? Your information is already everywhere, if you don't want it out in the wild move to another country, fall off the grid, and be a happy paranoid hermit. Good luck.

Because we learnt about security after putting our information online. Your logic that because we value privacy we have to take extreme measure to not become hypocrites is hyperbole. Giving up everything because we have already lost a lot is weakness.
We have to operate within certain bounds (like not leaving family because they don't want to be hermits with us). Resistance sets precedence and there will be no hope for change if we are cynical and give in because we are losing.
Win 10 not half bad without the app store and apps. Edge/bing/cortana shutdown. My FireFox is fast as hell. Faster than i have ever seen it. :)
I enabled the dark theme for 'modern apps' and with a simple windows theme, I enabled coloring on window title bars.
So now i have black modern apps and blue title bars. It's simple, but it makes a world of difference.
Strangely enough, the white title bars is the worst/weirdest update in my opinion.
Developers are supposed to be able to set a color of their choice for their programs, but Windows sets white as default if no color is specified.
Ya, i loved my aero. I dont like any of it to be honest but at least some color helps.
