“It’s not sand, it’s quartz.”
Quartz is a hard, crystalline mineral composed of silicon and oxygen atoms.
Most sand is made up of silica depending on its geographical location. Silica is also used to make glass. Silica (Quartz) is chemical compound silicon dioxide SiO2. Silicais often found in nature as sand (non coastal), usually in the form of quartz.
Same thing different form, its like saying Ice is not water because it has a different name in solid form
Dr Cutress does some good video though.
Havent watched it yet, but was he saying “not All sand” is the quartz needed for chips, or that it is not the Sand so much as the quartz that is needed? (As in sand is just a convenient place to find it?
when will carbon based cpus be a thing?
We are…
Right after those carbon nanotube batteries
there’s the mistake
IF Carbon Units like us Humans are indeed a biological computer, then I say I’m a FPU (Flabby Processing Unit)
