R7 265 (rebadged 7850) is now released. Well it's a little late I think it was released 2 days ago. Just want to let you know about the new card and what to know your thoughts about it. This maybe the GPU for you guys that are on the budget. It is better than 260x and similar performance as 270. so what do you think?

I give it a week or two before the 'coin miners drive the price up.

If it can mine coins like all the Amd cards can, it will cost more than $200 in 2 weeks time.

It is 90% of the performance of a 270. Let's wait and see what the 750 ti brings.

750ti is out! So now which is the new king?

750 Ti is only good because of the power consumption. Price/performance still isn't very good.

Well i don´t realy see the benefit, of the R9-265, you can also but a 7850, its the same card. But indeed the 7850 is the best card you could get arround $150

What amd needs to do is making a R9-275X Based on the 7870XT, with tahiti Le chip, then enable all 1792 stream processors. instead of 1536 on the 7870XT. This would basicly make it a 7950, if they put that in the market arround the $220 - $250 price range, they would have a realy new king of the ring.

which then the miners buy up and the price goes through the roof, unless they were made inefficient for mining.

yeah that the only problem, that script mining.

the 7870XT was basicly such a nice card. To bad they never made more of them. its alot better then the 270X.

I have to agree. 265/7850 is the best price/performance right now in the $150-$200 range.

They could also just release a 280 non-x as the fully unlocked Pitcairn chipset instead of the confusing 275.

Now I have to ask...

When is the 265X coming out? :P

according to pc perspective maybe late febuary or early march.
