Who's hyped for the new gorillaz album. Apparently Davie Bowie was involved right before he passed. I've also heard they're going back to their roots.

It would be nice if they went back to their roots imo. I did not like anything after the Plastic Beach (included) as much as their older stuff.
heck yes I'm stoked! I have no doubt there will be some awesome animated music videos too!
I loved how detailed the monkeys are, it adds immersion that I never get seeing a human (real life) music video.
They said it'd be lower quality but they should be back.
Can't wait to see more of 2D
Agreed, I did not like plastic beach. Demon Days was and is still my favorite.

That's the general consensus... the older albums are definitely where it's at.
Honestly, I haven't heard anything new from them. The last song I remember was Feel Good Inc. But from what I remember from them, I enjoyed their stuff. I remember being filthy pirate back in the day and downloading their songs to fill up my 256MB mp3 player...
Now I make my own money and can wash the filth and be clean buyer... So yeah, I will check the new one :)
I remember I bought my first Gorillaz album (the self titled one) on a trip to Canberra, on the way back we blared it for 3 hours. My dad gave up driving cause he was falling asleep cause of the music.
I wasn't sure it would actually happen so this is exciting news. :P
